There is an old temple or Mahadev or Tilwadeshwar. Mahatma Gandhi's ashes were immersed in the Narmada from this Ghat and to commemorate that event a monument was erected on the spot. In I9S9 it was the venue or the open session or the Indian National Congress , viz. Tripuri Congress. Off Tilwaraghat, at Ramnagara, there are temple remains and chhatri datable to I6th-I7th centuiy A.D.
