Opened to the public in 1846, the Cambridge University Botanic Garden develops & displays over 8,000 different plant species in 40 acres of beautiful landscapes.Take time to explore & enjoy the winter garden, glasshouses & a superb collection of mature trees.
John Stevens Henslow, Professor of Botany, founded the Botanic Garden in 1846.
The garden comprises of 40 acres, with many fascinating features including a lake, glasshouses, winter garden, chronological bed, rock gardens, & a superb collection of mature trees. The garden holds nine national collections, including Geranium & Fritillaria.
