Anand can be reached by rail and road. A large number of trains ply between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Most of the trains have a brief halt at Anand. Anand is also directly connected by rail to other important cities of India including Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubhaneshwar, Calcutta, Delhi, Hyderabad, Madras and Tiruvananthapuram. Most of the other parts of the country could be reached through a changeover at Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Mumbai or Delhi.
