Noida, India Overview
Noida stands for New Okhla Industrial Development Area. The city was created under the UP Industrial Area Development Act. It is located in Gautam Buddh Nagar district of Utter Pradesh state. Noida is known for being a major hub of multinational companies outsourcing IT services. It is has also emerged as a major hub of auto-mobile ancillary units. A number of TV news channel and studios like Zee News, IBN, NDTV, etc are situated there. Noida also ranks 17th in the list of cleanest cities of India leaving behind cities like Faridabad and Gurgaon. Noida is just 20 km south-east of New Delhi. Noida is the most modern city of state of Uttar Pradesh and has become popular destination for business. The city boasts of having best roads in NCR (NationalCapital Region) and excellent street lighting which gives pleasant driving experience. Noida has low traffic and hence it has low pollution level.
The city is full of scenic parks and statues. It has conserved greenery and plantation of trees is done from time to time. Founded by Sandip Morwah of Morwah Studio, Film city is a major hub of films and televisions in India. Stupa 18 Gallery is a place to visit in Noida. It is an art gallery and one gets to see and buy art pieces of various new and established talented artists. The Gallery is open to everyone and holds interesting exhibition every month. This is one of the ideal places for art lovers. Gurgaon, Greate Noida and International Buddh Circuit are other places of interest around the city of Noida.
As far as transportation is concerned Noida is well connected by road and rail to many other cities and towns of state and the country. City has three express ways namely DND Flyway connecting the city to New Delhi, Noida- Greater Noida expressway and Yamuna expressway which connect the city to Agra via Mathura. Delhi Metro connects the city to Connaught place via Barakhambha road. The metro also connects other cities like vaishali through Yamuna Bank interchange staition. Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi is the nearest airport for Noida. Noida is full of shopping malls and centers like Center Stage Mall, Great India Place, Spice Malls etc.
The city also has traditional and old style markets. Atta, Indira Market, Choura, Khoda are some of them. The global Film Festival is organized every year at Noida. Along with the festival there are other events of workshop, exhibition, entertainment programs, book releases etc. The festival is attended by many people related with the films from all over the world.

Noida short for the New Okhla Industrial Development Area, is a city in India under the management of the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority also called Noida. Noida came into administrative existence on 17 April 1976 and celebrates 17 April as "Noida Day". It was set up as part of an urbanization thrust during the controversial Emergency period (1975–1977). The city was created under the UP Industrial Area Development Act. It is also the location of the Noida Film City.
Noida is located in Gautam Buddh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh state. The district's administrative headquarters are in the nearby town of Greater Noida. However, the district's highest government official, the District Magistrate (DM), resides in Noida. The city is a part of the Noida Vidhan Sabha (state assembly) constituency and Gautam Buddh Nagar Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituency.
Noida was renamed to Gautam Buddh Nagar in 1997. Noida stands at 17th place when it comes to cleanliness of a city in India; by comparison, Gurgaon and Faridabad in the National Capital Region stand at 87th and 237 respectively. The creation of associated physical infrastructure is higher in Noida and Greater Noida. Gurgaon and Faridabad are at the opposite spectrum.
