Formula one (F1) racing, the fastest single seater auto racing has always been a thrilling experience for youths and old alike. The fatal car crashes, fierce battle among the high speed desperados is enough to quicken the nerves of viewers even on the other side of the television. But, what if you get a chance to experience the same live, in your own area?
In what could be called the best news ever for motorsport lovers in Greno or anywhere else in the country, the Jaypees International Race Circuit, the formula one race track developed by JP group, is in its last stage of completion. The Jaypees International Race Circuit, established in Dhankaur, around 4 kilometres from Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida, is all set to host the Formula 1 racing, scheduled on October 30, 2011.
The 5.14km long Jaypee International Race Circuit has been designed by renowned German architect and racetrack designer, Herman Tilke, who has also designed other world class race circuits in Malaysia, Bahrain, China, Turkey, Indonesia, the UAE, South Africa, South Korea and the US.
The track, which is being claimed to be the world’s fifth fastest track, is well suited to the requirements of powerful, high-spec racing cars and motorcycles. The track’s combination of 16 corners, high-speed straights and elevation changes has been designed to provide ample opportunities for overtaking, which is what makes motor racing exciting. At the same time, in terms of adherence to safety norms and regulations, run-off areas, medical facilities, facilities for the media and over all infrastructures, the Jaypee Race circuit is rated best.
It is the well suited dimensions that make the Jaypee International Race Circuit best among the others in world. The track has been designed to give perfect ground to the vehicles running with the speed of around 320 kilometres\hour. The width of the track is kept between 10 to 14 metres which will give enough room to the vehicles while running on the track. All together we can say it would going to give a wonderful performance in future. The estimated cost of the whole project is somewhere around US$ 350 million,” said the spokesperson of JP Group.
Giving enough room to the F1 racing lovers, the developers have kept enough space capacity for the spectators. The race circuit has the capacity to accommodate around 110,000 spectators at a time. The large seating capacity is another feature which makes the racing court unique among all the existing ones.
