The Umayyad Ruins of Anjar are located in the Armenian town of Anjar. However, there is no connection between the history of the ruins and the presence of Armenians in Anjar. The ruins have been there before the Musa Daghians came to Anjar. Nevertheless, most of the workers who were employed by the Lebanese Government during the excavations were Anjarians.
