Originally Rajula spread between Dholio Dunger and Piriyo Dungar, but expanded beyond that area on all sides. A small lake appears on the western side of the town near Maruti Dham. The region was once under the rule of the Marathas, who established their reign over the region in 1780. The territory was also acquired by the Gaekwads, who chose Amreli as the headquarters for their Kathewad pranth. The culture of the village is preserved by Darbars Garashiya and is developed by the Bania Kapol community. This region is renowned for a large reserve of stones in the mines. Rajula is famed for its rich heritage, which provides a glimpse of the Rajputana Kingdom. Besides, the culture of the destination is noteworthy, which is reflected in the festivals such as Satam Atham and Janmashtami.
