Brahmavart Ghat is taken into account the holiest Bithoor Ghat. Devotees of Lord Brahma pray at the altar of the "Wooden Slippers" when a ritual dip within the Ganga.
Situated on Kannauj road, the Brahmavart ghat is located Along the banks of the river Ganga. This tranquil spot has great religious and historical significance. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Brahma had chosen Bithoor as his abode, and it was here that He created the first mankind.
The place which marked this event came to be known as Brahmavarta or the seat of Brahma. Later, Lord Brahma also installed a shivling which is till today worshipped as Brahmeshwar Mahadeva at this ghat. There is a nail of a horse that is embedded here which is of great significance to the devotees. The nail is believed to be from Brahma’s horse.
