This renowned place is linked with the crowning ceremony of Akbar the Great. He was coronated as Mughal Emperor of India in 1556. This historic place is located at a distance of about two kilometers from Kalanaur. As his father Humayun died while descending the steps of a library, Akbar was declared the ruler in order to fill the void. When the authority was vested in him, he was 13 years of age. These days, this site is under the protection of ASI.
