Sariska Palace, Sariska, Rajasthan India

The Sariska Palace is loacted in the Alwar district of Rajsthan.  It was built as a hunting lodge at the close of the 19th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh of Alwar in order to welcome Queen Victoria`s son, the Duke of Connaught. It is said that in those days, the grandeur of the palace was simply outstanding. Moreover, the number of tigers and leopard were so great that the Maharaja and his guests could shoot them standing right in their balcony itself! Almost perfect for regal leisure.

The palace is a brilliant jewel set in nature in all its natural magnificence and is much admired by all discerning visitors for its architectural grandeur and natural surroundings.

Today, Sariska palace has been converted into a heritage hotel and the surrounding wild area has been declared a National Park and a Tiger Reserve. The 100 year old palace is not as lavish as some of the other palaces of Rajasthan, yet the Aravalli ranges in the backdrop and the Ruparail river flowing through the ground area make for some really charming setting.

The Sariska Palace Hotel offers its guests 75 luxurious rooms with a bed capacity of 150 for accommodation. The palace wing undoubtedly is most imposing while the Queens Wing is more elegant. There is a haveli wing as well in the hotel which has its own distinct charm. The interiors of all the rooms are pleasing and provide the guests a perfect stay during their visit. The authentic Regency Victorian furnitures add a regal touch in every room.

The restaurant of the hotel known as the Dining Hall, decorated with antiques, serves its guests delectable Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisine. The Rajasthani cuisine, specially is a must try for all. Sariska Durbar I, II and III provide exceptional convention facilities as and when required.
