How to Reach Pathankot, India
Pathankot has Bus Station and is well-known as Maharana Pratap Inter State Bus Terminal. It is located close on National Highway 20, at a distance of 3 kms from centre of the city. Punjab roadways, PUNBUS, Himachal Roadways and Jammu and Kashmir road transport provide bus services in inter-city and inter-state regions of Punjab. Pathankot has a military airport - commenced on 21st November, 2006 which serves only the Indian Air force. Earlier Pathankot Airport used to serve domestic flights to North India, but at present it is not providing domestic air services. However, tourists can reach the city of Pathankot by air, through Raja Sansi International Airport and Jammu Airport. Both are the closest airports to Pathankot. Raja Sansi International Airport of Amritsar is located at a distance of 118 kms from the centre of Pathankot city. Amritsar Airport has both domestic and international flights, which are well connected to several important cities of the country. It is connected with international destinations such as London, Tehran and Toronto, and has flights from Dubai, Muscat, Abu Dhabi and Delhi as well. Jammu (Satwari) Airport is a domestic airport, situated at a distance of 105 kms from the city of Pathankot. Tourists can avail local transport like Taxis, local buses and auto rickshaws to reach the city from airport and vice versa.
