The temple is situated on the banks of Shyamesar Tank and was constructed under the supervision of Bilhan. It is said that Bilhan saw a dream in which saint Shami Dayal wanted to build a temple, which would spread prosperity of his caste and area. Every year on the 8th day of Bhadrapad, a fair is organized which is attended by a number of Phogat Jats.
