The Gurdwara Nanakiana Sahib, also known as Karir Sahib, is situated in the village of Mangwal on the Sangrur-Patiala Road, 4 km away from the city of Sangrur. This gurdwara is said to have been visited by the fifth Sikh guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It is said that Nanak Dev Ji used to take baths in the pond of this gurdwara, as well as sit on the pond side and preach to the villagers. Due to this, gurudwara’s pond has been turned into a sarovar. Further in 1616, the sixth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji visited this place from Akoi Sahib. He also constructed a platform at the place where Guru Gobind Singh Ji sat and preached, to maintain the sanctity of the place and the pond.
