Situated at 45 kilometers from Gurdaspur, the site is a holy site for Sikh devotees. Darbar sahib and Chola Sahib are the two gurudwaras that form part of this sacred site. Its presence near River Beas has imparted more religious significance to it. After the death of Guru Nanak, his followers constructed this town and named it after him. A unique feature of the place is that there are several ancient houses that belong to the period of Nanak Dev. Sikh pilgrims visit the place on a regular basis.
