Located near Gandhinagar, on the Sabarmati river back, is Pethapur village, only 7 kms from the capital.Situated inside the Pethapur village, the specialty of the place is Bandhini Saris. These are available in different prints, designs and colors. The wooden blocks, which makes these exotic saris was exported to Singapore. The men’s behind such creative collection are Gujjar Suthars who used to manually print on the Saris. These blocks are still in demand in major cities of Mumbai, Ahemdabad, Rajkot and Jethpur.
