Bhangarh is a town in India that is famous for its historical ruins. It is in the Rajgarh municipality of the Alwar district in the state of Rajasthan. Bhangarh is at the edge of the Sariska Tiger Reserve. The modern village has a population of 1,306 in 200 households. Bhangarh is also a popular tourist attraction.
We made a terrific find in Alwar province about 15 km from the village of Ajabgarh in the Aravalli hills. It is a deserted city which doesn't appear in any of the guide books I have read, called Bangarh. The city is largely but is well maintained with paved paths and grassed open areas. Among the impressive remains are a huge fort, two temples, water tanks, a row of half built houses and other buildings we didn't have time to see.
