The Club was established before independence when the town was a part of Patiala state. Eminent personalities of the town, government officials and members of the Bar took keen interest in establishing the Club. Former Chief Minister Surjit Singh Barnala and Sh R.S. Sarkaria were prominent members of the Club.
Membership of the Club has grown from just a few members to about 750 at present. Spread over about four acres and surrounded by lush green grass, the Club offers serenity with all modern amenities.
The Club has Licensed Bar, Swimming Pool, Badminton Hall, Lawn Tennis Courts, Table Tennis Hall, Gym, Card Room, Restaurant, Garden, Basketball etc. The Club has been affiliated with many other renowned clubs across the nation. Our members are entitled to visit and enjoy the facilities of these clubs.
