How to Reach Valmiki, India
Valmiki by Road:
The preferred mode of transport among tourists is using private vehicles and taxis. Bettiah is the nearest town and buses travel up to this point.
Valmiki by Train:
The town of Valmiki Nagar has the nearest railway station. Many trains pass through this station and it is connected to places such as Delhi, Lucknow, Varanasi and Kolkata. Tickets are cheap and this can be a good mode of transport, provided your tickets are booked in advance.
Valmiki by Air:
The nearest airport is located in the city of Patna. The airport is located at a distance of around 225 kilometers from the park. Patna is well connected and one can reach the place easily from cities such as Ranchi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Lucknow. Frequent flights are from the capital city of Delhi as well. Taxis are available from here and they can be used to reach the national park. They cost around Rs 7 per kilometer for the trip.
