Valmiki Ashram: Located near the Indo-Nepal border, it is believed to be the birthplace of Luv and Kush, sons of Lord Ram and Sita. Valmiki Ashram is a popular pilgrimage site. Vishnu Chakra, meditation area of Valmiki, dining area of Sita and the horse stable are worth seeing. The festival of Makar Sankranti is celebrated with great fervor in the ashram.
