It is the Gateway to the Sundarbans National Park, & which is being developed as a tourist complex. Located 72 kilometers to the south of Kolkata, Piyali has become a perfect holiday & picnic destination. The small River Piyali crisscrosses the lush green paddy fields before joining the River Matla imparting a feel of what is to come deeper, & further south. Linked with Sajnekhali, Sudhanyakhali & Netidhopani through waterways, Piyali has a beautiful Tourist Complex with an Educational & Interpretation Center, Accommodation & Recreational facilities for the visitors.
