 Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is one of the most revered holy shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. Neelkanth, one of the ancient temples of the destination, is dedicated to Mahadev or Lord Shiva. Popularly known as Panch Mahadev, this temple is situated in the region of Aravali hills at Dausa.

As per mythology, the place where the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple currently stands is the sacred location where Lord Shiva consumed the poison Halahala that originated from the sea when Devas (Gods) and Asuras (Demons) churned the sea in order to obtain Amrita. The poison emitted during the Samudramanthan that made his throat blue in color. Lord Shiva hence is also known as Nilkanth.

Lord Shiva is the main deity in this temple. The Rope way is another attraction at this place. Maha Shivaratri is the most prominent festival celebrated here. The temple observes a fair that is held on the occasions of Maha Shivratri during which the devotees from all the parts of country visit to Neelkanth Mahadev Temple.
