Khurpatal is an angler's paradise, located around 10 km away from Nainital. It is considered to be anglers paradise having clear water and a good harvest of fishes. This beautiful hamlet is perched at an elevation of 1635 m above sea level. It is known for its pleasant climate and an enchanting lake, where fishing can be enjoyed.

This small town is completely surrounded by terraced farms which will look completely green, which makes it an attractive town. There is a small lake known as the Khurpa Tal or Trowel Lake, the shape of the lake looks like a trowel, small and deep. Khurpatal is a small place which looks like yet to be discovered as there are many hidden secrets on the hills.
