Jaanki Mahal or the Palace of Glimpses of Mehrangarh Fort, is at the next door to Khabka Mahal of Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur. It is named so as it was at the place from where the ladies of the regal household to take a look at the outdoor world. Parda was made strictly compulsory by the Rajputs in primitive eras and the women’s quarters were purposely fixed with latticed screens in Mehrangarh Fort to let the royal ladies to look outside deprived of being observed themselves.
