A temple dedicated to the Hindu monkey god Hanuman is one of the most famous on the site because a tribe of his present day monkey relatives resides there. Along with living in the Galtaji temple, the monkeys also dangle from the intricate temple facades and cause chaos for visitors and pilgrims. They are well known in Jaipur and especially in Galtaji for their mischievous ways.
The idol of Shri Hanuman is wonderfully miraculous and is famous all over the country. The Jagmohan or worship hall of the temple has artistic mirror work depicting Chitrakuta where Tulsidas was making Sandal paste and Raghubir (Rama) was applying a tilak on Tulsi's forehead with his hand. Another picture is that of Shabari who is offering Berry fruits after having tasted each one. One more picture is that of infant Rama. Seeing these pictures gives delight. The devotees can be seen offering prayers, reading and reciting devotional text of the Ramayan, Sunderkanda, Hnuman Chalisa, Bajarang Baan etc.
