Gurudwara Gau Ghat, Ludhiana, Punjab India

Gurdwara Gau Ghat is that Holy place where First Guru of Sikh Panth Sri Guru Nanak Sahib ji came here in 1515, which is on the Bank of river Satluj. Guru Sahib Recited thier divine baani, in praise of God (Waheguru). That time there was Nawab of  Lodhi Jalal-udd-din came to Guru Sahib with his Countiers. He believed to be lived who has great devotion to Guru ji and so requested Guru ji to save the town from erosion by the Satluj River. Guru ji replied to him, that he should serve his people by doing justice. Satluj river will move 7 miles away from this City and this place will be fully Properous and people will live happily.

In this way Gurudwara Sahib, which was on the banks of Satluj river in punjab known as ‘Dariya Ghat’ got the name ‘Gau Ghat’. As this Gurdwara Sahib is historical (in Relation with First Guru, Sri Guru Nanak Sahib ji) is managed by Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee.
