Chand Kazi Samadhi, Mayapur, West Bengal India

Chand Kazi’s Samadhi is one of the prime attractions in Mayapur. Chand Kazi, a person with Islamic faith, was the magistrate of Navadvipa. Chand Kazi opposed to Harinam Sankirtana movement in Mayapur. Kazi with his people broke the mridanga of Srivash Pandit, who led the Sankitana. Later Kazi became an ardent disciple of Shree Chaitanya Prabhu as a result of the devotional miracles by prabhu. The pilgrims visiting Mayapur unfailingly visit the Chand Kazi’s Samadhi as well. The Samadhi is located at a tranquil region with picturesque surroundings. The Samadhi offers a great location for Yoga and Meditation.
