Yogoda Satsanga Society of India Sakha Math Ranchi is in Anandpur West Singhbhum District. Jharkhand State in India. Yogoda Satsanga Society of India Sakha Math Ranchi . Near by railway Stations are Ranchi Argora. It is in Ranchi City.
The yogis here have not prepared a list of devotees because of this reason.
Swami Nigamanand, a monk at the math, said people from various caste, creed and religion come here. 'There are many who come here for mental peace. These devotees do not like to be named or mentioned anywhere. Not only doctors, judges, engineers and students, but people from all strata of the society have become members at the society,' he added.
The math is located at the junction of Old Hazaribagh Road and Club Road near Ranchi railway station. It was founded in 1917 by Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda, considered to be one of the great saints of modern India, who is also the author of the spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi.
The math is a part of the Yogoda Satsanga Society (YSS) of India and runs many schools, colleges and hospitals too. Thousands of students are imparted education at the Yogada Satsanga Mahavidyalaya, and Yogada Satsang Vidayalaya located at Dhurwa. It also has a school for girls ' the Yogada Satsanga Vidyalaya Kanya Sakha, Chutia.
The organisation also runs the Yogada Satsanga Sangeet Kala Bharti for imparting education in music and Yigada Satsanga Shilpa Kala Bharti for imparting education in fine arts and crafts.
A hospital run by the math is known as Yogada Satsanga Sevashram Hospital, where monthly cataract surgeries with intra-ocular lens implantation and annual blind relief camps are organised.
The society also runs a leprosy hospital ' Sri Sri Daya Mata Leprosy Seva Kendra, with outdoor clinics and wards for leprosy patients.
The maths spread spiritual knowledge by arranging classes on the various techniques of meditation and other practical techniques and principles of recharging the body by attending regular classes here. Devotees are trained to develop concentration, cheerfulness, constructive thinking and will power.
YSS also publishes a number of books and annual series booklets in English, Hindi and Bengali, which are based on the teaching of Paramhansa Yoganandaji. A couple of prominent publications by the math are Gods Talks to Arjuna (Sri Sri Paramhansa Yoganand's commentary on the Bhagaada Gita) and Man's Eternal Quest.
