At a distance of 61 Kms from Kottayam, Valanjaganam Waterfalls (also known as Kesari Waterfalls) is located very close to NH220 towards Thekkady/Periyar, before Kuttikkanam.
Regular buses are available between Kottayam and Thekkady/Periyar. September to January is the best time to visit the falls. The falls are located just adjacent to the highway and no trekking is required to reach the falls.
