Payyoli, India Overview
Payyoli, a small village in the Kozhikode District of Kerala, is located along the Malabar Coast and there are a few beaches that one can visit in the area. Payyoli is a good option for day trips and one can experience the quaint feel of a real village here. The local cuisine is also something that one must try. The pristine clean beaches are the main attractions of this place. There are vast empty stretches of clean yellow sand with shallow waters that are inviting to tourists. This is a good place to just unwind and relax as there is not much activity here.
Few fishing hamlets along the beaches are ideal to visit to get a glimpse into the daily life of locals here. Catamaran rides can be arranged by local villagers. Many of the beaches have thick vegetation growing along the shores, this natural setting is also a good place to soak in beautiful sunsets and sunrises. For those interested in nature photography, this is a good place. Other than the beaches & serene nature here, there is a museum called the Kunhali Markar Museum that is located around three kilometers from the town.
