Nayagram is a City in Nayagram Block in Medinipur West District of West Bengal State, India. It belongs to Burdwan Division . It is located 53 KM towards South from District head quarters Midnapore. It is a Block head quarter.
NAYAGRAM’ , a Block under the ‘JUNGLE MAHAL’ of Paschim Medinipur District detached from the district by the river ‘SUBARNAREKHA’ and shares its border with two districts ( Balasore & Mayurbhanj) of Orrisa State. This Block, densely covered with the forest and greeneries, is the ultimate place for enjoyment with the nature and with the simple and grassroots people mainly SC and ST. The ‘Lal Mati’ and the seductive view of ‘Sal & Pial’ will definitely take you far from the hardship of the Material World. In the month of April & May the burning ‘Krishnachura & Palas’ of the jungles is very much romantic. The forest of Nayagram is full with Deers, Elephants, Haynas, Squirrels, different types of Birds Rabbits etc.
