Mustafa Castle, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh India

Mustafa Castle is a building of historical relevance located in Meerut, India, commemoratively built by Nawab Ishaq Khan to serve as a memorial to his father, the poet and critic Mustafa Khan Shaifta. The construction of this elaborate structure took over two years. During the pre-Independence fight and movement both Nawab Ishaq Khan and his father actively participated in several revolts.

On one occasion, he was even jailed in a small area which coincidentally lies within the complex of the castle today. The castle was designed by Nawab Khan himself and has a unique combination of British-Indian taste and architecture.
