Lakkidi View Point, Wayanad, Kerala India

Lakkidi, the gateway of Wayand is on the top of ghat section while coming from Calicut to Wayanad. Lakkidi is almost 700 meters above the sea level. The spectacular view point with lofty mountain peaks, the gurgling stream, luxuriant vegetation and the bird’s eye view of deep valley on the south and winding roads with hairpin bends are breath taking. The 12 km long journey from Adivaram to Lakkidi through ghat road with nine hairpin bends between thick forest is a wonderful experience. Within near surroundings of Lakidi are Pookot Lake, Chain Tree, and other sightseeing point on Ghats road. The nearest town located Lakkidi is Vythiri. Lakkidi is 60 kilometer from Kozhikode.
