Laila Majnu ki Mazar, , Rajasthan

Laila Majnu Ki Mazar or mausoleum of Laila-Majnu is situated at Binjaur village near Anupgarh city of Rajasthan state of India. According to local legend Laila-Majnun died here. A fair in June is attended by hundreds of newlyweds and lovers.

Many people associate this Mazar (mausoleum) with legendary lovers Laila-Majnun. According to them Laila-Majnun were from Sindh and came to this place escaping from the clutches of Laila's parents and her brother who were against love of Laila-Majnun.Laila-Majnun died this place and were buried together here.Thus this place became a memento of love and people come here to seek blessings to Laila and Majnun. On other hand according to many people like Rani Raisikh, one of the starting caretaker of this Mazar is not related to mythical Laila-Majnun but two graves are of a great teacher and his devoted student. The mausoleum is a symbol of mutual respect and love between that teacher and his student.
