Kapil Muni Temple, Sagardwip, West Bengal India

Kapil Muni Temple is a famous shrine of Sagardwip. Associated with ancient sage Kapil, the present temple was built only in 1973, as the earlier three structures fell victim to storms and the dashing waves of the sea. The first one was built by Rani Satyabhama as early as in 437 AD. Kapil Muni Temple houses the images of Kapil, Ganga, Bhagirath, Indra and Sagar.
