Kalyanji Temple, Karauli, Rajasthan India

The city of Karauli derived its name erstwhile name from the deity Kalyanji. The city was earlier known as Kalyanpuri. The deity has been accorded a place of importance amongst the 300 odd temples scattered in and around Karauli. The temples of Madan Mohanji and Kalyanji are considered one of the most important temples amongst the congregation. The temple of Kalyanji especially is considered to be the guiding force behind the welfare and progress of the city. The temple itself is and imposing structure built in traditional style and housing the deities idol inside the main hall.
