Bagdogra by Road:
Road connectivity by taxis and buses to Bagdogra is available from most of the cities in India too. However, it is best to travel by rail or air and then hire a cab or taxi from the railway station or the airport. One can travel easily from Darjeeling, Gangtok and Siliguri by road to reach Bagdogra. There are taxis to hire easily available outside the railway station and airport. Being a hilly region, the road is at times rough making it slightly difficult to travel on this terrain however if one has an adventurous streak then it is definitely worth the experience to travel long distance to reach Bagdogra. Bagdogra can be reached by any mode of transportation be it Rail, Air or Road, making it absolutely comfortable for the tourists to experience the natural beauty and tranquillity of this quaint place.
Bagdogra by Train:
Railway connectivity is also available from Kolkata and New Delhi up to The New Jalpaiguri Railway station which is at a distance of half an hour from Bagdogra town. This is the only railway station in the region and has made travel to Bagdogra cheap and within the budget of the traveller.
Bagdogra by Air:
Due of its connectivity to most of the cities in India, travelling to this small town has been made very comfortable and easy. Recently the air strip in Bagdogra has been conferred with the International status, making flights landing from Gangtok and other locations outside India, very easy. Flight connectivity to Bagdogra is comfortably available from New Delhi, Guwahati, Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai. At a time there are atleast five flights that can land and take off from this airport.
