It is an intensive forest, situated at a distance of 20 Kms from the Wildlife Sanctuary while heading towards Cooch Behar. Tourists can watch a thousand year old and archaeologically significant Fort made by Nal King while visiting the forest. The Chilapata Forest is a dwelling place for leopards and elephants.
