Tourists to Jhallong can visit the Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary located near Gorumara Wildlife Sanctuary. The forest is situated near National Highway 31, which connects the north-east with the rest of India. After crossing the Teesta River travellers need to go towards Dooars to reach this forest. The Chapramari forest is inclusive of a large variety of fauna and flora. It is home to the ‘gaur’ or Indian bison, reptiles, Royal Bengal tiger, deer and elephant as well as several species of birds.
