It is just 30 Kms from Tezpur city on the southern banks of Brahmaputra River in the Sonitpur district. It is blessed with rich flora and fauna and serves as a home to Bengal florican bird species and other animal species which includes civet cat, one horned rhinos, Asiatic buffalo, wild boar as well as various varieties of insects, fishes and reptiles.
