Bagdara Wildlife Sanctuary was established in 1978. It is spread over an area of about 478 sq km and is lined with dry deciduous mixed forest. The prominent Fauna at the Sanctuary include tiger, panther, chinkara, cheetal, sambar deer, wild boar and black buck and birds of various kinds. There are various tourists attractions both in and around the Bagdara Wildlife Sanctuary like the The rock paintings of the ‘Goura Hillock’ and other wildlife sanctuaries. Two suits are available in the sanctuary for accommodation along with a forest rest house. Self-petrol vehicles or diesel vehicles, which are not five years old, are the primary mode of transportation within the sanctuary.
Flora: The principal flora that dominates the forest of the Bagdara Sanctuary are as follows: Tendu, Dhawda, Khjair, Lendia and more.
Fauna: The forest of the Bagdara Wildlife Sanctuary of Madhya Pradesh is the breeding ground of some of the rare wild animals such as: Tiger, Panther, Sambar, deer, Chinkara, Cheetal, Black buck, Wild boar, Hyenas.
