Ulladulla, Australia Overview
Ulladulla makes a great base for exploring local natural attractions such as Morton National Park, Lake Conjola to the north and Lake Burrill to the south. Nearby Meroo National Park has a beautiful coastline with access 5 km from Ulladulla. An easy, 2-km walking track passes through native flora in the South Pacific Heathland Reserve and on, to great views from Warden Head Lighthouse. The Coomee Nulunga Cultural Trail is an important cultural site created by the local Aboriginal Land Council.
You can learn to surf here, go fishing, swimming and hiking. Local dive operators will show you the best of the underwater world in the crystal clear waters off the coast. Deep-sea charters are also available as well as whale-watching tours during the annual migration season. Eating fish and chips fresh from the Fishermen's Co-op on the wharf at Ulladulla Harbour is a popular past-time for locals and visitors alike.
Mollymook Beach to the north is a fabulous 2-km stretch of golden sand between Bannister Point and the southern headland where Mollymook Golf Club is located.

Ulladulla, Australia History
The Milton Ulladulla district is on the NSW South Coast, being part of the city of Shoalhaven. Captain Cook first saw Aboriginals on our beaches in 1770. The first white Settler was Rev Thomas Kendall in 1828 who started cedar cutting at Narrawallee Creek near Milton. Ulladulla was known as Nulladulla.
Milton is today classified with the National Trust. One can walk around the streets of Milton and see home and buildings dating back to 1870.
Tours of the many pioneer cemeteries and historic walks around the Milton township and Ulladulla Harbour can be arranged with Historian Cathy Dunn.
Ulladulla is a major tourist area with its beautiful beaches. The harbour today plays host to the largest commercial fishing fleet on the South Coast.
