How to Reach Ziro, India
Ziro by Road:
State government buses are available from the town of Itanagar. They are cheap and depart every day. Buses are prone to breakdowns and are not comfortable. Since the roads are generally steep, buses will find it difficult to climb the slopes. Buses are available from North Lakimpur to Ziro as well and tickets cost between Rs 100 and Rs 200.
Ziro by Air:
The closest airport is located at Tezpur. For those who are arriving by air, this is the most viable option. The airport is connected to Kolkata and Silchar by weekly flights. Taxis are available from the airport and they charge around Rs 12 per km for a SUV.
