Rupa is a tehsil/mandal in the West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. Rupa is a sub-division of west kameng district, Arunachal Pradesh. Rupa is some 135 km from Tezpur, Assam. The place is one of the most picturesque place. the place is sorrounded by three rivers viz. dinik, ziding and doblo. The nginma sect monastery; zangdok palry is one of its kind in india.The pace has seen the bloody war of sino india in 1962 where many people have been displacced.the flora and fauna of the area is unique .the has place has history dating back to 7th century B.C. related to king tsongtsen gambo of tibet. Not many flights operate from Tezpur, more over the airport is under upgradation.Regular flights are availalbe from Guwahati. Guwahati is 6-7 hrs drive from Rupa.
