Terahi temple, Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh India

The Terahi temple, devoted to Lord Shiva, has a porch in the front and a pancha ratha sanctum. This temple has been constructed in the early Pratihara architectural style and has beautiful dikpala figures.

Terahi is a place of considerable arcaheological importance. According to an inscription at rannod, its old name was Terambhi. Two very old temples stand in this village, one of which, dedicated to goddess Mohajmata, has richly carved torana or gateway . Though somwwhat heavy at the top it is still regarded as beautiful specimen of decorative gateways of medieval Hindu temples.
