Tar-Bhojpur, Ara, Bihar India

Tar, Bhojpur in Bihar is situated to the north west of Piro tehsil which is about 10 kilometers distance from the village. The village has been named after the demoness Tarka who used to create havoc among the sages as well as the common people.

The village is renowned for its association with Lord Rama of the epic Ramayana. It was in this village that he had a major tussle with the demoness and had killed her.
