A prominent Jain temple in Nalanda District of Bihar, Samosharan is located at Pawapuri. It is believed that Lord Mahavir, the last and 24th Tirthankar of the Jain religion, had delivered a sermon here. Thousands of pilgrims from far and near throng here to offer their prayers. Samosharan is close to Jalmandir, another Jain Temple situated in the middle of a lotus tank.
There is a temple located in the vicinity to Jal temple named Samosharan, where the Lord Mahavira used to deliver sermon to his disciples. The place is famous as the site where he preached in last days of his life. Nearest airport is at Patna, 90 km north. Bihar Sharif Railway Station, approximately 8 km away, is the nearest railhead.
