In Hampi, the Queen's Bath is part of the Royal Enclosure. This was constructed during the Vijaynagar Empire any time from 1336 to 1565. This is a enclosed space, consisting of a complex of changing rooms and a bath. At present only the bath is extant.
Another place of interest, during Hampi tour is Queen’s bath. There is an enclosure comprising of rectangular buildings, surrounding a square tank in the middle. This used to be the place, where the kings and queens used to take bath in the waters. The waters used to be fraught with the fragrant flowers paired with perfumes. The construction of this bathing place reflects the Indo-Saracenic style.
Queen’s Bath of Hampi, that looks like an indoor aquatic complex, belongs to the royal area of the capital. A large veranda with protruding balconies all around faces the central pool. The structure represents a typical example of the Indo-Islamic hybrid architecture.
