Arunachal is a treasure house of various wonderful marvels, Nuranang waterfalls with its milky white waters is one such hidden gem that is not very much exposed as a tourist destination. Located about 45 km far from the district of Tawang it is indeed an ambrosial treat to catch a charming view of the roaring beauty which scales its pinnacle of beauty during the rainy season. The roaring beauty falling from a height of about 100mts leaves its viewers spell bound.
The falls is named after a tribal girl called Nura who had helped an Indian soldier by supplying him weapons, arms and also gave him shelter during the Indo-China war. The hydel power project constructed across it suffices the electricity requirement of the surrounding areas and many bollywood movies are also shot here.
This place is worth to give a stop and spend hours watching its grace in a tranquil environ. This waterfall is considered to be one of the most beautiful waterfalls of Northeast India. The water falls down from a height greater than 100m and the plunge of milky white water. The Nuranang Falls came into the limelight when a song from the Bollywood movie Koyla featuring renowned actress Madhuri Dixit was shot here in this falls and at the Sangetser Lake in 1997.
