The Nasiyan Jain Temple Ajmer is also known as "Red Temple". Built in the last century, the double storey structure also contains a series of large wooden figures. The construction of the Nasiyan temple commenced in 1864 AD and continued till 1865 AD. Dedicated to first Jain Tirthankar Rishabhadeoji, the particular temple is a follower of the Digambar sect of Jainism.
The temple is dedicated to the first Jain Tirthankar Rishabha. The first floor of the temple popularly called as Swarna Nagari (city of gold) hall houses one of the most astonishing architectural creations of the Universe in the version of Jainism which also constitutes of gold plate replicas of every Jain temples of the country. An estimated 1000 kilograms of gold has been used in the construction of the marvel depicting panorama from Jain mythology, and of the ancient towns of Ayodhya and Prayag. The interiors of the temple is decorated with the inner chamber that has silver balls suspended from its ceiling and is surmounted by a vimana (spire). The interiors are also embellished with the silver linings and precious other stones.
