Located 4 km east of Ponda, off the NH 4A connecting Ponda to Panaji, dedicated to Lord Nagesh (an incarnation of Lord Shiva), the Nagesh temple is one of the ancient Hindu temples in Goa that has been in existence in its original location for centuries.It was established in 1413, years before Alfonso de Albuquerque arrived in Goa.
